Rhodes is a long knitted scarf in a laced centre with stockinette tails on both ends. It is a versatile scarf which can be worn in many different ways. - Head Scarf, Neck scarf, Bandana, Hairband etc.
Measurements: 141cm (56.5”) X 22.5cm (9”)
Yarn
I used linen and sock yarn for Rhodes to be able to wash often as it would get dirty. It’s a hair piece.. you know.
Linen version: BC Garn Lino, 100% Linen, Patrol 50g (150m/164yds) 1 ball.
or
Sock Yarn version: CoopKnits Sock Yeah! 75% superwash merino/25% nylon, Neon Orange. 50g (212m/231yds) 1 ball
Gauge: 18 sts x 28 rows
4” [10 cm] in St st, after washing and blocking.
For more accurate gauge match, I recommend Sock yarn swatch to be blocked more vigorously as it’s more stretchy than Linen.
Suggested Needle
4mm (US 6) & 5mm (US 8) circular needle 30cm (12”) or any desired length. Or 2 double pointed needles if you prefer.
I used 4mm for Linen & 5mm for sock yarn to achieve the same gauge. It might differ.
Notions
Tapestry needle & stitch markers.
