About me

Knitting and Crochet have been with me throughout my life. Since I learned them from my grandmother at the age of 7 or 8, I have knitted or crocheted. When I saw my nana, for the first time, crocheting a shawl for my mother, I thought it was like magic. A string of yarn turned into a beautiful fabric; it is magic.

In 2020, the lockdown happened all over the world. You know, the Pandemic. I got more time than… well… I don’t remember when I ever had this much time on my hands before. So I started writing the patterns for my designs. Still having a day job wouldn’t allow me to write patterns as fast as I want but I’m pleased that I have started it. I must give the credit to my friend Grace (IG: gracethebabbler) who poked me (🤏 literally) to start writing patterns.😊

I am very interested in “fit issues’. I have heard from knitters and designers that knitted garments are very forgiving as they are stretchy. I agree and disagree. While knitted garments are flexible to cover our bodies’ ins and outs without too much of constraints, they can look much better if they fit!

Other things about me in a nutshell - I did many things in the past and am doing many things now. This has something to do with me not being able to stay still. I fidget all the time. Knitting helps me.

Once, I developed software. I worked in various corporations including a newspaper company. I founded an online marketing company in the early 2000s. I write articles in the newspapers & magazines. Now, I design hand-knit garments.
